Arkady looks back down at the skull and slowly closes the box. He doesn't know if he'll be returning from the Underworld, and thus whether he'll actually see that skull again, but considering that he's about to be reunited with Ashley for real, it's a small sacrifice. The skull is a mere reminder.

He stands up, leaving the box where it is. "I have no more questions." Arkady downs the rest of his wine, not even gasping as it burns on the way down. "I wish to go with you once you are ready."
